Who we are

Independent advice for life off the plug.

RV Solar Power Guide exists for one reason: RVers deserve straight answers about off-grid power, not sales brochures dressed up as reviews. We research the equipment, do the math on what it can actually run, and tell you where each option falls short.

Buyer questions first

Every guide starts from what people actually ask: what size system do I need, which kit is worth the money, will this run my air conditioner. Specs serve the question, never the other way round. If a claim can't be traced to a manufacturer datasheet or manual, it doesn't go in.

Trade-offs, not hype

No product wins everything. A quiet inverter generator costs more per watt than a loud open-frame one; a big residential panel is cheap per watt but may not fit your roof. We lay out where each option shines and where it falls short, so you can match gear to the way you actually camp.

Safety is non-negotiable

RV electrical systems can damage expensive equipment or hurt people when done wrong. Our guides explain polarity, fusing, wire sizing, and battery chemistry honestly, and we tell you plainly when a job belongs to a qualified RV technician instead of a weekend project.

Reader-supported, opinion-independent

The site participates in affiliate programs, including Amazon Associates. Buying through our links may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. That's what keeps the guides free. It never decides what we recommend: affiliate availability doesn't get a product into a guide, and it doesn't keep a bad one in.

No fake testing claims

Plenty of review sites claim they “tested” gear they never touched. We don't. When we haven't had hands on a product, we say so, and we lean on manufacturer documentation, owner forums, and verifiable specs instead of inventing experience.

Corrections welcome

Specs change and mistakes happen. If you spot an error in any guide, tell us with the manufacturer source, and we'll verify and fix confirmed errors. An honest correction beats a confident mistake.
